Příbor

Příbor. A picturesque town embraced by the river Lubina. The birthplace of the world's most famous psychologist, Sigmund Freud. 

And it is right in front of his childhood home that the Poesiomat has taken root. The dramaturgy of the Poesiomat in Příbor will therefore be significantly dedicated to Freud himself. The poetic speaking device will offer his own memories of childhood in Příbor, as well as the only surviving recording of Freud's voice. 

Listeners can also look forward to other Příbor phenomena: the sound of the legendary Tatra 603, stories of Příbor natives, poems dedicated to the town, and a recipe for traditional gingerbread cookies known as příborské šifle. 

The voices of the Poesiomat in Příbor were provided by actors Vladimír Polák and Příbor native Lada Bělašková from the Ostrava Divadlo Mír theatre, as well as Marie Machková, Eva Krautová and Irena Nedomová.
