Ústí nad Orlicí. The hometown of Ondřej Kobza, the creator of the Poesiomat – and in a way, the hometown of the entire project itself.
In the newly renovated park beneath the Roškot Theatre, a poetic tube has been installed, offering listeners the legendary song and unofficial anthem of the town Imaginary Pub by local singer-songwriter Slávek Janoušek, poems by priest and publicist Erwin Kukuczka, a violin composition by virtuoso Jaroslav Kocian, or pub musings of the renowned visual artist Jan Steklík.
Alongside stories connected with the town, the poetic speaking tube also presents authentic sounds from the famous motor race Ústecká 21, a recording of the Olympic gold-winning ride of local native Jaroslav Kulhavý, or poems dedicated to Ústí nad Orlicí by actor and architect David Vávra. The voices for the Poesiomat were provided by actors and actresses from the Vicena Theatre Association in Ústí.
The realization of the Ústí nad Orlicí Poesiomat was financially supported by the town itself.
